This teapot is a replica of an early Qing Dynasty zhuni teapot. While the style may be antique, its practicality will never fade.
Crafted from the rare red clay called zhuni, this Yixing teapot was made using clay sourced from Xiaomeiyao Yixing. As shown in the photos, zhuni clay has a subtly textured, bumpy surface. With regular use, the clay gradually develops a natural shine. Highly valued for its ability to retain the full range of flavors and aromas of tea, zhuni is also the most challenging clay to fire due to its delicate nature, making it more prone to cracking during the process.
